Should the Florida Pastor Terry Jones be held responsible for the deaths of UN workers in Afghanistan? Clearly he is a 'nut-job' of the first order but suggesting that the deaths are totally the result of his actions is surely missing the point. Look at this way, how many muslims were killed in the USA when Islamists burnt US flags in their (and our) streets? Had they done so, would those deaths have been justified?
In 2008, Sam Harris wrote an essay entitled, 'Losing our spines to save our necks' in response to the death threats made on Dutch politician Geert Wilders.
