The end of the world is nigh

The religious observant (nut-job) Harold Camping reckons that the end of the world is nigh, 21st of May to be exact. Apparently, at 6pm (Pacific Time), a humongus earthquake, the likes of which were last seen in biblical times (not at all then) will mark the beginning of the event the evangelicals (deluded nut-jobs) call, 'The Rapture'It will be at this moment when they are supposed to gather in the air to meet their god (sky daddy).

In an attempt to balance the claim (lunacy) with rationality, Richard Dawkins has written a response in the Washington Post whilst, at the same time giving the paper a ticking off for allowing the upstanding christian (exceptionally deluded nut-job) airtime.

I reckon Dawkins should challenge Camping to a bet that he will still be going to work as usual on the 22nd. Nonetheless, I am sure he will come up with some excuse for it not happening. Perhaps they may rethink and come to the conclusion they have been wrong about their faith all along. Then again......
